Today was my post-surgery check-up. Everything is going along just fine. Got all the results back from the pathology, and they were exactly what we had expected to get back. Gotta admit it’s kind of shocking to read it!! Very glad that she took it all out because there was a lot of cancer in there.

My regular doctor, Dr. Rowland, was out on a family emergency leave. I’m praying that she’s OK, as they did not say what her emergency was.

We saw another doctor but there is just no one like her.

Karen, the nurse, checked my counts and said that everything looked good and that I’m fine to go in public. I haven’t had a chemo treatment since April 2. So my immune system should be in pretty good shape. Quite honestly, I’m still a little scared of catching something. I guess because I was so very sick when I had the kidney infections. But I’m stronger now than I was then. So, (drum roll) I’m planning to go to church on Sunday...Mother’s Day!! Jason and Kayla are planning to go with me.

I’ll have my other kids and grandkids there too...in my heart!!

So today, we went straight to Red Lobster!! And I thoroughly enjoyed it!! So nice to enjoy food!! Of course, I’m still not able to eat very much at a time, so I ate the shrimp and brought the rest home for later. But, I was still over stuffed!!

Came home, took a nap and now I’m feeling fine!!

It felt real good to go to the restaurant. I haven’t been to any restaurant or to church or any store since Jan 24.

I still thinking that it was the best idea to stay away from flu and other germs!!

And, I never felt cabin fever. Thankful that I have had lots of visits from friends and family. Who, btw, have pretty much spoiled me rotten!! Puts a big smile on my face just thinking about them!!

Have I mentioned how amazing my Ter is??? Of course I have, I can’t resist mentioning him again!!

He is by by side every step of the way and taking care of me !!

I’ve got so many things to look forward to. Two very dear friends, Wimbles and Edith (aka, Bunker) will be here in 10 days from Jacksonville!! We have been friends for over 40 years. Wait, are we old enough for that?? Lol

Then Johnnie and Gail, Chris and Lori and family (not sure which of the grandkids will be able to come) are coming the first week of June.

Also, we’ll be celebrating our little Zoey’s first birthday!!

Wow, I’m always amazed at the blessings I have!! My heart is overwhelmed!!

It’s a beautiful day here. Everything is so green. And I just love this time of year!!

And a beautiful fire in the chiminea to finish off a really good day!😘
